I am a realist painter rooted in figurative painting and portraiture. I earned my BFA from Rosemont College and my MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. Since completing my degrees, I have worked as a free lance commission artist, part time adjunct art professor, bartender, paint and sip instructor, and professional party clown. From 2014-2016, I was a member of the 3rd Street Gallery in Philadelphia where I served as secretary and events coordinator. I have shown my work locally and throughout the country and it is included in private collections in both Philadelphia and New York.
My husband Shawn is a professional chef and we live just outside Philadelphia with our two young sons, Harry and Riley, and our mini lop bunny Beaux.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My work explores memory and nostalgia. Through realist painting and portraiture, my paintings pinpoint moments in time and imagery relating to my experiences in the world. Using symbols of Americana, pop art, and decorative motifs, I capture fragments of thoughts, ideas, and conversations that brushed past me at some point during my wanderings on earth.
