A great portrait goes beyond a simple likeness—it captures the spirit of a person and turns a fleeting moment into a permanent piece of family history. My goal is to take your favorite memories and translate them into rich, painterly oil compositions rooted in realism and narrative storytelling.

Holding an MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, I bring a deep respect for craftsmanship and technique to every canvas. I work extensively from photographs, using my years of studio experience to translate standard reference photos into deeply textured, luminous oil paintings. I am always happy to review any existing photographs you may have to see how we can best translate them into a beautiful painting. For clients local to the Greater Philadelphia area, I am also available to conduct a dedicated, in-person photo shoot to capture new reference imagery for an additional studio charge.
